Dr Faye Millner
Senior Clinical Psychologist / Director
Dr. Faye Millner, a clinical psychologist with 20 years experience in mental health, specialises in autism and ADHD assessments. Holding a Doctorate from Royal Holloway University, she has worked in a variety of settings, including a therapeutic care home for abused children, providing CBT for adults and held roles at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Since 2017, she's focused on autism and ADHD assessment in multidisciplinary adult and child diagnostic teams.

A bit more about Dr Faye Millner
Dr Faye Millner is a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist and the Director of The Autism Assessment Centre.
Faye has worked in mental health for over 20 years and has extensive experience in autism and ADHD assessment across children, young people and adults. She has completed hundreds of neurodevelopmental assessments and has a particular interest in presentations that may be less easily recognised, including masking, camouflaging and the overlap between autism and ADHD.
Her approach is warm, thoughtful and neuroaffirming. She believes that assessment should never feel rushed or impersonal, and that a diagnosis should be based on a detailed understanding of the whole person rather than a questionnaire score or a single appointment.

Faye takes time to understand each person’s developmental history, strengths, differences, sensory experiences, communication style and support needs. She is particularly mindful of the effort some people may use to compensate, mask or appear to cope in everyday life.
​
As the mother of a neurodivergent child, Faye also brings personal understanding to the assessment process. This has shaped the way she works with families and adults, with a strong emphasis on clarity, compassion and helping people feel listened to throughout the process.

Faye’s aim is that, whatever the outcome of an assessment, each person leaves with a clearer understanding of themselves or their child, alongside practical recommendations and a meaningful sense of what comes next.

Qualifications & Training
BSC IN PSYCHOLOGY 2001 – 2004
Faye studied psychology at Exeter University where she achieved a First Class Degree.

Faye studied at the Tavistock Clinic whilst working in a therapeutic children's care home.
